Lycoming County Children & Youth Services (LCYS) works in cooperation with our community, families, and other organizations to ensure the health, safety, welfare, and social growth of children and youth in Lycoming County.

How We Work with Families

We work with families that are having a difficult time providing a safe and nurturing environment for their children. Our agency is designated by state law to look into any allegations of reported child abuse and neglect. We also strengthen families by offering free community services.

We Provide Specialized, Preventative & Community Services

We provide a wide array of services including Child Protective and Ongoing Casework services, Specialized Services such as Foster Care and Family Group Decision Making, and Community Services such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern PA.

We Provide Trauma Informed Care

We are a Trauma Informed Care agency. We recognize the signs of trauma and treat our clients, families and staff appropriately by using The Sanctuary Model to better serve our community.

We Provide 24/7 Crisis Intervention Services

If your child, teenager or family member is experiencing a mental health crisis
